— Made with Light —
From personalised golf course maps to illuminated villa signs — every piece is designed, laser-cut, hand-finished, and checked before it leaves. No factory. Just craft.
And that's where all of this started.
Our daughter Luana carries the Portuguese meaning of Lua — Moon. She’s the reason this exists. Not because of a business plan — but because she kept saying: “Papa, let’s make something.”

I’m Markus — father, maker, and way too curious for my own good. I started out in 3D animation, ended up in software development, but building things with my hands was always there. Wood, tools, creative projects — that stuff came before any of it. Then life happened, and the hands-on work took a back seat for a while.
Luana brought it back. When she started wanting to build real things — not on a screen, but with her hands — something clicked. I got a laser engraver. Then a 3D printer. Then woodworking tools. My office slowly turned into a workshop.
The first pieces were for her — a custom craft desk, name signs, little illuminated boxes with her drawings inside. Then friends saw them. Then someone wanted a personalised shadow box as a gift. It wasn’t a plan. It was momentum.
Made with light. Named after moonlight. Inspired by the brightest light in our life.

Not the other way around.
Every piece that leaves this studio is a mix of digital precision and hands-on work. A laser engraves a topographic golf course into birch plywood. Hands sand, paint, and wire an illuminated villa sign. LEDs bring depth to a multi-layer shadow box. Whether it’s a personalised gift or a bespoke piece for a property — what you get isn’t something off a production line.
A focused beam of light engraves topographic maps, portraits, and custom designs into wood and cork. Precision that no hand could pull off.
Every edge is sanded. Every surface is painted, oiled, or treated by hand. That’s where each piece gets its character.
Carefully placed lighting turns flat wood into something that glows. Villa signs, shadow boxes, name boards — light is the final layer.
Custom components, frames, and functional parts. We use whatever tool helps us build better — from digital design to the latest tech. The maker always has the final say.
What we stand for
We work with birch plywood, local cork, and solid wood — picked for grain, durability, and how it works with light.
If we can reuse or recycle materials instead of buying new, we do. Rescued wood gets a quiet mark — because it had a life before.
All oils, paints, and coatings we use are free from toxic substances. Quality materials, responsibly chosen.
Every piece gets inspected before it leaves. If it doesn’t meet our standard, it stays in the workshop.
Garden Next Door — makers, growers, creators.
Feito com Luz is one part of Garden Next Door — a growing network of makers, between workshop, garden, and algorithm. The idea behind it is pretty simple: meaningful things should be made locally, by people you can actually talk to, from materials you can touch.
We don’t scale. We grow.
